SHOW UP FOR PRIDE

Interactive Documentary Series & Action Campaign

For the first Pride month of the Trump presidency, we set out to show the world what was on the mind of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, and inspire people to show up at Pride parades around the country to pledge their support.

We crisscrossed America, meeting people and making 40 short films in five weeks, centered around the question: ‘Why do you show up for Pride?’. We found stories on a Tuesday, Traveled on a Thursday, shot over the weekend, edited finished pieces by

We crisscrossed America, meeting people and making 40 short films in five weeks, centered around the question: ‘Why do you show up for Pride?’. We found stories on a Tuesday, Traveled on a Thursday, shot over the weekend, edited finished pieces by Monday, launched and then did it all over again. We never slept.

In the process, we heard from some incredible people in Alabama, Hawaii, Texas, New York, California, and Kansas who are pushing progress forward inside their communities, even while they might face resistance from outside.

As a complement to the stories, we partnered with GLAAD to design a portal to help people find the Pride parades nearest to them, encouraging them to show up, watch, or even march.
